- Eggs have abruptly appeared all over London – in bath tubs, balanced on chimneys, nestled in sofas, tucked in the holds of docked ships. And they're vast ones, the size of a beer barrel, an over-rounded dog, a prize-winning marrow.
Whitsun is an Easter-like event in which Londoners can buy, change and hatch eggs.

Acquiring an Egg[edit | edit source]
There are two kinds of eggs available to Londoners, Scarlet and Aged Eggs. Both are bought from The Reliable Eggmonger.
|Egg||Starting Storylet||Ending Storylet||Result|
|Aged Egg||Take your egg to the Lab for some experiments||Finish the study of the Aged Egg||+1 CP Artisan of the Red Science (up to level 5)|
|Scarlet Egg||Take your egg to the Lab for some experiments||Finish the study of the Scarlet Egg||+1 CP Shapeling Arts (up to level 5)|
Wiki note: The study of the eggs allows for the option to use Monstrous Anatomy under Direct Your Own Research. This generally garners most Laboratory Research among the options that you may have. Also, this option is independent of anything else in your labwork, so players that have just recently started their labs but have already spent time in Parabola racking up Monstrous Anatomy can pursue these projects more readily than other projects.
Speculation about Whitsun can be obtained while doing various actions in London. It is mostly useless, however at level 10, it can be used to publish a Whitsun Edition of your newspaper if you own one.
Eggs can be either Enlightened or Invigorated, depending on the kind of Egg this will cause different kinds of creatures to be hatched.
|Aged Egg, Untreated||Bring Up your Egg||Invigorate||9x Appalling Secret||Fully Invigorated Aged Egg||Young Terror Bird|
|Aged Egg, Untreated||Bring Up your Egg||Enlighten||15x Foxfire Candle Stub||Fully Enlightened Aged Egg||Aurochs|
|Scarlet Egg, Untreated||Bring Up your Egg||Invigorate||9x Appalling Secret||Fully Invigorated Scarlet Egg||Untrained Lyrebird|
|Scarlet Egg, Untreated||Bring Up your Egg||Enlighten||15x Foxfire Candle Stub||Fully Enlightened Scarlet Egg||Suspicious Iguana|
Breaking open eggs[edit | edit source]
It is also possible to break open your eggs on the Bring Up your Egg page. This can be done at any point of the Enlighten/Invigorate phase. This can yield a wide range of rewards. For reward information for breaking open specific eggs see: Bring Up your Egg.
Augmenting Eggs[edit | edit source]
After you have fully Enlightened or Invigorated you can also apply up to two Augments to it. Augments can be applied by specialists who have set up camp at various locations in London. Augments will change what kind of creature you get and will make it more powerful. Twice-augmented creatures have higher stat bonuses, +1 point of either B/D/R, and may have some uses in specific locations.
Once Augmented Eggs[edit | edit source]
2x Journal of Infamy or
2x Vision of the Surface or
Twice Augmented Eggs[edit | edit source]
Thrice Augmented Eggs[edit | edit source]
Wiki note: It is possible to Augment an Egg three times using a Highly Illegal Experimental Augmentation Device (Probably) which is Fate-Locked. For that reason, they're not mentioned here
Player Eggs[edit | edit source]
|Fully Enlightened Aged Egg||1x Dilly|
|Fully Invigorated Aged Egg||1x Copper-Speckled Crustacean|
|Fully Enlightened Scarlet Egg||1x Voracious Lamp-Eye|
|Fully Invigorated Scarlet Egg||1x Mycological Bullfrog|
Sartorial Augmentation[edit | edit source]
Sartorial Augments are a special type of Augments applied by the Tailor in Ladybones Road. Sartorial Augments can only be applied if you have no other Augments and will ensure that instead of a living creature, a piece of clothing will hatch from your egg. The type of clothing will be determined by your egg and if you Enlightened or Invigorated it. All Augments cost 3x Amber Ha'penny and 2x Muscaria Brandy.
|Fully Enlightened Aged Egg||1x Aurochs-Fur Coat|
|Fully Invigorated Aged Egg||1x Birdskin Gloves|
|Fully Enlightened Scarlet Egg||1x Iguana-Skin Boots|
|Fully Invigorated Scarlet Egg||1x Tuneful Hat|
De Gustibus has made a return to London, and may be found at Ladybones Road. In addition to previously available options, it is now possible to sell them Eggs in almost any state (Eggs with Sartorial Augmentation are not considered edible) for various rewards. This marks the first time that A Sealed Copy of the Crimson Book has been available in nearly six years. A complete list of rewards can be found on the page for De Gustibus in Whitsun.
Hatching an Egg[edit | edit source]
After you've fully brought up your egg, you can start the Hatching process on the Storylet Incubate your Egg. This process typically takes 24 hours; however, it may be hastened by the use of Amber Ha'penny or Fate. During this 24 hour period, eggs can not be Invigorated, Enlightened or Augmented. Note that eggs to which a Sartorial Augment has been applied, or that have been received through social actions, will hatch immediately.
After 24 Hours[edit | edit source]
After 24 hours a message will appear in your inbox saying that your Egg is ready to be hatched. A new storylet will appear in your Lodgings called The Hatchening redirecting you to The Hatching: What Emerges, There you can admire the wondrous occasion that is a birth (And hopefully keep the d__n place intact).
Sped up using Fate/Amber Ha'penny[edit | edit source]
If you hastened the passage of time using Fate/ Amber Ha'penny's or had a Sartorial Augmentation applied, Incubate your Egg will immediately let you witness the birth of your creature (or slightly alive piece of clothing).
